Placing an order with newegg tomorrow, and i'm not sure if i should get the Hero or the Extreme! I like the fact that the Extreme comes with all the bells and whistles however honestly i won't probably even put the board to extreme use. What would you guys choose? Any other mobo's worth looking at?

Get the Hero VI. The bells and whisltes that come with extreme are 100% useless. The OC panel is completely useless and the only reason they put it there is to try and justify that the extreme is overpriced.

The only reason to consider the extreme is , if you are going to use more than 2 graphic cards. If you are using 2 or less than 2 graphic cards, there is NO reason to go for the extreme. The extreme board is mainly targetted...

If you are looking for alternatives, the MSI gaming gd65 motherboard is also very good.

All i can say is holy crap a SSD makes a HUGE difference... I got all my parts and put everything together and i was surprised how everything booted up perfectly fine and there were no hiccups! I'm usually used to a DOA memory module or the mobo bios being upset with something and getting the BSOD, etc. However this was the first time when everything ran perfectly! I'm so happy with this build! Ran 3DMark11 and got a score of P13392 no idea if that's good or bad.
