I just received my Samsung 840 pro 120GB SSD and it appears that windows won't allow me to place my files/games onto it. Must I format it or something? I cant clone as my HDD has more data than my SSD can hold. I want to just transfer select games but I currently cannot.

Most of the SSD space is listed as unallocated. Delete the UDF section and you should see the whole SSD as unallocated. Then format it as a simple "logical drive" in NTFS and give it a letter or windows will not see it.

Edit:
During format, give it a name too if you want.

2nd Edit:
A quick format is all you should do. This should trigger trim for the whole ssd drive.
