3K Gaming Rig!

Holy s**t, that's beautiful

And don't worry about it leaking, I don't think you'll get that problem with any watercoolers, except for maybe dirt cheap ones.

And yes, the Storm Trooper has 4 spare 120mm fan slots - perfect for those Sharks ;)

If gaming is the only planned use, there are a lot of areas you could make cuts in while losing nothing. This is a good build, but you could cut hundreds off the price, or get a more powerful graphics setup, by taking a few things down a notch or two.

Could you make the recommended changes? I am open to new ideas to save money without giving away too much performance.

I was having mixed thoughts with this and am always changing sides, but if I get one gtx 780 I could another one later one so... wait see I keep on switching sides :pt1cable:

Et voila: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/18U9V
You could also fit in dual 780s at your original price, using the changes in that link.

Hey, Dylan Patel, overall it is a nice build, storm trooper, and that fantastic, like it.
But the power supply you choose is way overprice, here some good recommendation:
1. XFX 1050 BEFX - gold rating, typical efficiency 90% only under 200w, its efficiency under 90%
http://www.easycom.com.ua/power/xfx_pro_1050w/?lang=ru
2. OCZ ZX1000W- good power supply for low price, even not much overload power capacity as XFX, #note: ZX is enhanced version of Z series, better efficiency at low wattage#
Other:
1. Gold rating XFX 750 or 850, they perform better at low wattage usage than 1050 one
2. OCZ Z series 850W or 1000W, both offer low price, so it worth, under $110
Sorry, sure Corsair is better at offer price for high performance.
#Edited# Marcopolo is right i don't see it.....

I can see where you're coming from. Honestly, I agree, and I tend to put a single 780 ahead of dual 770s in my building priorities, but there are some games (granted, only a handful) which cannot be maxed on a 780. One also needs more performance for things like recording gameplay and the like. However, in this instance I would consider it an academic debate. OP can afford dual 780s.

Gtx 770 sli= 800$
Gtx 780 sli= 1200-1300$ depending on price drop.

Performance increase with gtx 780 sli instead of gtx 770 sli isnt worth it.
