The ones I use are Geekbench and Novabench and you can also compare your scores online.
And 7,1 is very good if you're runnig Win7 if you're running Win8 it's pretty good,
Win7 goes up to 7,9 and Win8 up to 9,9.

Windows 8 jump to 9.9??
If you have Windows 8 it will simply show the score of your hardware up to 9.9. For example, if you had an SSD it might have score 7.9 in Windows 7 because that was the highest. In Windows 8 it would score up to 9.9.

If a component scored LESS than 7.9 in Windows 7 it would get the SAME score in Windows 8. Windows 8 just increased the scale.

The Windows 8 benchmark thing is a little misleading anyway as it's simply far too basic. For example, games are rarely affected by the HDD/SSD except for loading times and even then it doesn't scale linearly.

This 9.9 scale is the WEI or "Windows Experience Index"; it is a benchmark utility created by Microsoft as a part of Windows itself.

This has nothing to do with PCMARK or any other benchmark program.

Windows 7's WEI went to 7.9, and Windows 8's WEI goes to 9.9 because some of the hardware was maxing out the 7.9 scale making it useless.
