Hey everyone, I've started planning my first ever PC build, but I just realized for the time being I'm going to need a wireless adapter. Knowing next to nothing of PC builds and wireless networking I'd like ask of your advice/recommendations on what to get for my gaming PC (Battlefield 4, StarCraft 2, Planetside 2 and more).

Any extra knowledge you can offer for my own understanding of this topic would also be much appreciated!

Thank you!

I game on a wireless and I use an Asus USB-N66. It's on the pricey side at $63.00

I came from using a TP-Link TL-WN822N 300Mbps High Gain Wireless USB Adapter that will only set you back $20.00

I changed because I have bandwidth bandits for roommates that were really ruining my gaming fix with their torrenting. So I got a decent dual band router with QOS {quality of service} the linksys 4200v1 and the Asus USB-N66 N900 wireless that operates on both 2.4ghz and 5Ghz. With QOS you can prioritize your gaming, set bandwidth limits etc. Also you can populate the 5Ghz band and leave...

I've had very good experiences with both though, you can't go wrong with either. But if you get the Asus make sure you get the USB-N66 and not the EA-N66. They look almost exactly alike but one is more expensive and a pita to setup correctly.

I'm likely going to experience the same problem with bandwidth bandits, so I'll go for the ASUS haha, thanks for the help!
