Good build under 1000?

Solution

Personally i think you over paying a bit for that motherboard. The MSI Z87-G45 motherboard works just fine and is overclock ready and contains lots of little functions that are nice. Also I recommend not getting a SSD. For this price if you can only afford one like that i recommend you put the money somewhere else and save up for say a Kingston 120gb SSD, until then keep your money because a 32gb won't hold as much as you would like. Also i recommend Nvidia graphics cards unless you want to...

Seems like a good build.

Haswell (Intel IX-4xxx series) processors are newer than Ivy Bridge (IX-3xxx series) processors, so of course you will be better off with Haswell, especially if the Haswell CPU-Motherboard combo is cheaper than Ivy Bridge!

Also consider the phantom case as it has lot's of air cooling options (unless you want to go with a liquid cooling system) which is nice as your components will stay completely cool. I personally would recommend:

This build fits your budget (obviously if you needed things like a monitor and stuff you would have to cut back and i could find a build for that if you need one) but this build is nice and cool and has more than enough fans to keep your system cool and is overclockable with the upgraded cpu cooler and high air flow of the case. This build is also very easily upgradeable. It allows dual-SLI so you could simply add another GPU to improve game performance, plenty of expansions for your Hard drives for memory, and has a big enough power supply that you wouldn't have to worry about it for awhile (a big enough case for these expansions as well).
