Hi, today I received the final parts for my first desktop. I put the computer together and installed Windows 7 with no problems. However, when I downloaded Poker Night at the Inventory and tried to start the game, it gave me the error message "Could not initialize Direct 3D. Make sure you have current video drivers and close any other applications that might be running. You will need a video card that supports at least pixel shader version 1.4." Then I pressed OK and it said "Error- Unfortunatly, this error could not be resolved." I installed all of the drivers that came with my motherboard (none came with the processor), all of the Windows updates, the Radeon driver on the AMD website yet still the error kept coming up.
I looked in the device manager and it looks as if Windows doesn't even recognize the GPU portion of my processor or the motherboard at all! It just says "Standard VGA graphics Adapter".
Not to mention, the motherboard I bought (ASRock FM2A75 Pro 4) is supposed to have a Radeon 7000 series chip integrated and support for crossfire between it and the APU.
If anyone knows how to get my computer to run games like Poker night at the Inventory and Team Fortress 2 then please tell me. Thank You.
