quick question on hdtv 120hz display.

I have a custom built pc it has the

AMD hd 7800 series graphics 1gb card
it has 12 gb memory
motherboard is M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3
processeor is amd athlon 11 X4 640


I am hooking my INSIGNIA NS-39E480A13 up with a dvi to hdmi cord that will do 120 hz, i have 120 hz enabled on the tv still shows max of 75, i hook my mini display port to dvi adapter to that and run from that shows 60-75hz. anyway to get this up? also tried via macbook pro with same results using mini display port option.

any help greatly appreciated

if it doesnt show up there, scroll down the list until you see "HDTV" choose 1080p and see if it comes up. if that doesn't work make sure its detected by you vid card as a 120hz refresh rate (by going common display tasks and hitting detect)
