I guys im looking forward to upgrade this pc and i would like to know if there are bottlenecks, compatibility issues and if it fits in the tower or if there are better hardware in the price range.
Actual pc:
Windows 8 x64
Cpu: Intel core i7-920 2.66ghz
Psu: nox apex 600w
Gpu: xfx hd 5850 1gb ddr5
Tower: atx nox coolbay hx
Ram: kingston hyperx 2gb x3 ddr3 1333mhz total=6gb ram
Motherboard: foxconn flaming blade x58
Hd:seagate 2tb sata3
Optical drive: lg blu-ray reader

I would like to upgrade it with a budget of 500 (no problem in add a little more)
To run at 1080p maxed out games like crysis 3 and upcoming games such as battlefield 4

Ideas: gtx770
Better ram
Hd 7970 ghz...........
Thanks for the help in advance

Taking in consideration an easy oc on the cpu to 3ghz...

Your power supply is definitely powerful enough to have a 770 along with the rest of your components (although it is a little old), but your CPU on the other hand will probably bottleneck the graphics card, but you could try overclocking.

The PCIe slots on your motherboard are only 2.0, but most newer graphics cards don't utilize the full potential of PCIe 3.0 anyways so it doesn't really matter.

So, really, without either overclocking or upgrading your cpu, which if you upgraded, it would lead to a new motherboard, and then potentially a new PSU and so on, you don't really have any choices.

i would probably overclock you 920 to about 3.6ish buying an appropriate cpu cooler if you dont have one already and spend the bulk of your money on the gpu and maybe do cpu mobo later down the track. i personally think you will notice your biggest bang for you buck this way. my 2 cents

Also, on the other hand, you could get a new PC altogether. This one (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/18Zpl) could get you a decent amount of performance in games like BF3 or Crysis 3, although you will have to decrease the settings just a little bit, but for me personally, you can't notice much of a difference. You would also have to use all of the discounts and mail-in rebates for it to truly be around $500. There's also no OS, display, and keyboard/mouse.

I'm personally not an overclocking expert, so you might want to ask someone else.
But, if you're looking to sell the pc, I don't know where you live so I can't really suggest a website. But, if you can find one, a website like Kijiji would be perfect. I would recommend selling it for around $1100 - $1300.

u would be fine with ur i7 with just a mild overclock and then u won't have any bottlenecks with the gtx770 and try to get a CM Hyper 212 cpu cooler which will help in improving pc perf. by keeping the cpu cool and with it u can O.C real high
