HI folks. 1st post, so forgive if in wrong place.

Recently, been getting some BSODS and also problems at boot. Have a dual bios + often after a crash, my system reboots, but with processor listed @ 755MHz rather than 2.93 GHz. Sometimes, powering off the PC, unplugging the power cord and leaving for a bit 'resets' this + can start up as normal afterwards.

Using WhoCrashed, I get various causes for BSOD:

IRQL_UNEXPECTED_VALUE
INTERRUPT_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Conclusion:
"3 crash dumps have been found and analyzed. A third party driver has been identified to be causing system crashes on your computer. It is strongly suggested that you check for updates for these drivers on their company websites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates for these drivers:

nvlddmkm.sys (NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 320.18 , NVIDIA Corporation)"

As system specs below show, have two graphics cards. One Radeon (main on pcie 16x) and one Nvidia (on pcie 16x/4x). The latter runs two low demand secondary monitors.

Tried uninstalling the nvidia drivers to re-install, but after uninstalling the main graphics driver (via control panel>programs) it crashes my system and have a hell of a job restarting (had to system restore last time). Run Nvidia's auto driver check - saying latest version installed.

Are the two GPU drivers falling out with each other?

Would appreciate any help.

Steve

Well, it works most of the time, sour :)

My GTS runs two small monitors (for low demand apps like email etc)

My Radeon runs graphics intensive stuff.

Thanks for your reply

Thank you for your suggestion, sour, but that seems a little drastic. Have already updated drivers. And by chance, I did a windows refresh a few weeks ago. I don't think that will solve it. I'm wondering whether it's driver conflicts... thank you anyway
