Question about SSD and HDD

I bought both for my new set up but have a few questions, i plan on installing OS and other stuff on the SSD and making the HDD a data file, however i would like to know for isntance if i were to install a game but choose the directory of install the HDD meaning the files would be set up there but loaded by the SSD cause thats where the OS is, if i do this will the speed of it be the same as if it were to install it on the SSD directory? or do i not gain the speed of the SSD if i set up the files on the HDD ?

Nope, the game will still be laoded at the speed of the HDD.

It actually depends on many factors. If the game needs all its Graphic files from the installed directory AND those files are larger than the HDD's cache then you'll notice the speed difference.
Example : If the game needs 20-40 mb files from a HDD with a 64mb cache then they will load quickly (but it will be still slower than your SSD) but if the same game needs more than 64mb on its first run then it will continue at HDD speeds.
The SDD doesn't load your files, the OS does. And the OS once booted, resides in your RAM (major modules, that is).

Regard your main query, only applications ACTUALLY on the SSD benfit from its speed and latency goodies.
