Yeah! We really need much more information to go on.
As I know, as someone's files cannot be shown on the computer, there are three possible reasons:
1). Accidentally hide them.
Hidden files always cannot be seen, but they are still there. so, you need to show them up like this: Start > Run > Type in "control folders" > View > “Show hidden files and folders”.
2). Virus infection problems.
Nowadays, virus infection also could cause your problems. You are supposed to scan your drive with an efficient antivirus tool as soon as possible.

3). Hard drive problems.
