hi,
I am planning to buy a laptop for college use,
i5/4gb/500gb
i have one issue, whether to choose integrated graphics or dedicated,
i am not a gamer, but i will be using CAD, 3D modeling,MATLAB, watch movies and browsing internet.
i am looking for good laptop life, battery life,
i know that graphic cards (dedicated) are better than integrated but i am afraid that dedicated once may create some problems in future
i want to use the laptop for 3-4 yrs, so will the dedicated one create any problem.

Only problem is they ain't free :)

Also, you only use the dedicated card when something you are running warrants it.

Rendering favors workstation class cards, AutoCAD runs a bit better GTX cards than on AMD HD

For 3-4 years, id recommend the Clevo P170SM or P151SM

CLEVO is a large Taiwanese computer company specializing in laptops. While the Clevo brand name is perhaps not widely known, their products are re-branded and sold by known boutique brand OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers)… notably Sager, VoodooPC, Falcon Northwest, Eurocom, etc. They are also considered (by whoever knows about notebooks) to design and manufacturer the best of the best notebooks in terms of superior build quality and innovative designs.
