I recently bought a new CPU Fan for my computer. I figured out that the Fan wouldnt fit in my case so i decided to put the old CPU fan back in. Once it was installed I booted it back up and suddenly no display?

Also the Power button no longer lights up. and I just noticed on my Sapphire 6950 HD gfx card only 1 fan (out of 2) doesn't spin? I noticed a few times jiggling the pci-e 4pin connector that the dead fan would twitch?

"also tried switching around the two pci-e 4pins connected to the graphics card and still the one fan runs fine, and the same fan isn't going"

My Psu fan & light, Exhaust Fan, CPU fan, and one fan on the gfx card runs and continues to do so until I power it down manually.

Any idea why I wouldnt be getting any display?

All I did was remove the cpu fan & cpu (the cpu was attached to the heatsink) and put it back on. I made sure 3 times that it is for sure on there correctly.

Any help would be much appreciated.

as mentioned make sure all the cables are plugged in nice and snug lol. If the cpu isnt getting right amount of power ull get no boot or the motherboard thats ur 20/24pin or 4/8pin and ur gpu 6pins or 6/8pin connections and ur hard drive lol.

Maybe u got a short and ur psu is starting to go bad or it fried, u know someone that u can test their psu with ur pc?

If the power pci-e connections are from the psu, u can if u have one use a molex to pci-e adapter to test if its the cables
