OK, so, I saw that the asrock x79 extreme11 supports 8 DIMM slots with a total of 64 gb. Thing is, will it support 64gb (EIGHT DIMM modules) of corsair vengeance pro 2400 MHZ RAM? (not sure if it can support 2400mhz)

Hello,:hello:

Yes, it supports upto 64GB of memory. It has 8 slots and the memory is evenly divided between the slots. Hence, 8 8GB modules will work. However, I do not recommend 2400MHz memory as it may cause stability issues so I would recommend 1866MHz or 2133MHz.

You won't be needing 64GB of memory unless you are trying to use it as a workstation. The compatibility of memory depends on the processor and your motherboard supports both ECC and Non-ECC memory. So make sure you are not mixing them. If you need any memory recommendation let me know.
