newly build computer problems (GPU)

So i have a newly build computer and it wouldnt boot up,but when i removed the gpu it booted up... can someone tell me what happened(my first time building a computer.

When you had the gpu in do any of the fans turn on? If not then your psu might not be powering all of the components.

right after i took it out, i tried to turn it on and all the fans started running and everything else worked. so i put it back in and everything was ok, could you tell me what possible went wrong there?

The Gpu may have not been seated well, or the psu was struggling. It may have just been trying to boot the card and needed a reset.
