Playing most pc games.
Bf3. minecraft, , tf2, the usual.

If it can't run bf3 without overclocking I guess i'd buy a cooler.
Pleas tell me me Iif I'm going to need a 500 psu, I don't want my build to blow up or run too hot.

My budget is ~650 but I have all of the prices in amazon, I looked at parts to upgrade and I'm not sure if I could get any better parts without going to a price range I wouldn't like.

With a high end CPU and GPU, I (personally) wouldn't be comfortable with 400W. I would imagine that thing would have to work pretty hard to accomplish what you want to do with it. You really don't want to put too much stress on the PSU, because if nothing else it gets hot which leads to the need for additional cooling. With a bottom mounted PSU, heat rises and can put unneeded heat on your GPU. There are much more technical reasons why you don't want a PSU to have to operate at more than (I'd say) 60%, but...
