in the link below is a table containig nvidia quadro certified boards.
Nvidia say "To maintain Quadro premium quality standards, a system cannot be configured as a Quadro SLI-enabled unless it has gone through and passed NVIDIA testing.".
Does this mean that the z87 and the card are not compatible?, if so is there any way around this? and if not can anyone suggest a good graphics card for autocad that is compatible?.
thank you

Solution
You can use the FX4800 normally with your board. Just make sure that your PSU has a spare 6pin pci-e cable to power the card.

"To maintain Quadro premium quality standards, a system cannot be configured as a Quadro SLI-enabled unless it has gone through and passed NVIDIA testing." <- it means that if you want to run 2 Quadro card in your system as a SLi setup ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scalable_Link_Interface ), only the pre-built systems on the table below are certified to handle that setup without any problems. You don't have to worry about this unless you want to run 2 fx4800 in your system.

Thanks for that, this will be my first build so I'm learning but that was helpful.
