Computer beep but i can still get into my desktop

Ok so before my computer wouldn't do this but now it beeps and it either says cmos checksum error or or that it is running in fail safe and it says to check cmos. I replaced the cmos battery but the beeping continues. I can successfully get into my desktop so I dont know why it makes these noises

If you replaced your CMOS battery, the BIOS is probably back to default settings now. You may want to check BIOS to see if there are any parameters that need to be reset the way you originally had them.

Cmos checkSum is a failing CMOS chip. If your mb has one that can be replaced. Look at eBay for a cheap replacement. Some chips can be fixed if you reflash the bios..if there a bad bit from age in the CMOS.

If all is working fine now, go to BIOS and save the current settings as they are now.

I'm saying that if you can boot to the desktop fine now, and all that is wrong is an error message and beep... the BIOS checksum may not match because it expects to see settings that have returned to default. Just go into BIOS and save the settings the way they are now. That will create a new checksum and maybe get rid of the error msg and beep.

OK so I dont get the error anymore but the beeping consists and my computer seems to randomly shut down
