Hello everyone.

I recently built a new computer, and for the first time today, it went completely blank out of nowhere while I was browsing the internet. I am so shocked after spending so much money and time. Not to mention that it was running perfectly as well, for about 3 weeks now.

The monitor, all of a sudden, became black. It didn't shut off. The computer was still running, but the screen became black, but it was still lit. So I'm sure it isn't the monitor that's having this problem. I don't know why it would go blank all of a sudden.

My build is...

AMD FX 8350 4.0 Ghz
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus
Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3 1600 Mhz
ASUS M5A99FX Pro R2.0 Motherboard
WD Blue 1TB HDD 7200RPM 64MB
EVGA GTX 660 Signature2 FTW 2GB GDDR5
Cooler Master ExtremePower Plus 500W PSU

The display is an ASUS VS248 24" (1980x1080)

Could there be any bottle-necking going on? I hope someone can enlighten me on this. I'm so nerve-wrecked that this would happen, and it's so upsetting.

Thanks in advance.

Waru

My apologies for the double thread. I don't know how that happened, but it was a complete accident. I'm not sure why another topic posted again.

Pc can glitch...if you want run hardware monitor watch your temp and voltages. Blank out could be a real hot room and pc video card got to hot or ac or something large clicked on and the power to the pc blinked and the pc locked up.

I was actually afraid my PSU was a problem for my system being only at 500W and I'm running a GTX 660, 8350 processor, and 16GB of memory... but I'm really not sure. :(

Here's a picture of my hardware monitor:
