Single 780 Power supply amount?

I was wondering how much a single 780 would need out of a power supply. Also when getting a power supply is there anything else that would need a lot of power out of it?

The CPU and the graphics card are the two biggest power consumers. They both get all of their power from the +12V rail(s) so the power supply must have the appropriate maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating.

For a system using a single GeForce GTX 780 graphics card NVIDIA specifies a minimum of a 600 Watt or greater system power supply that has a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 42 Amps or greater and that has at least one 6-pin and one 8-pin PCI Express supplementary...
