Motherboard makes beeping noise when fans aren't plugged in

Okay I don't know if this is suppose to happen to every motherboard but it happens to mine. I have 4 fans plugged into my motherboard (3 pin connector if that makes a difference) If I unplug a fan and go to reboot the system I get the long non stopping beep warning. Only goes away if I plug the fan back in. Is that suppose to happen. How can I disable this. The system turns on fine it just the beep wont stop.

  1. That would be you unplugging the CPU fan. Thats not a good thing. Leave that plugged in.

I did not unplug the CPU fan. I know that for a fact. It was just a case fan I unplugged.
  3. Just go in bios and on hardware monitoring disable that fan. It will show 0 rpm.
