If you want something for $400 the PS4 currently would provide the best gaming option. The GPU should be comparable to a GTX 660 or HD 7870 which are around $200 currently. However, I am sure that there would be much better options available for the PC market when the PS4 actually launches to make a $400 build a better gaming option than the PS4.

I'm not talking about creating a new system from scratch,I just about replacement of the cpu and gpu. Which processor and what kind of graphics card is compared with the PS4 ?

A HD7850 is equal to PS4's GPU. As for CPU, there're no exact match since AMD haven't released any 8-core APU for desktop environment, but a FX 8xx0 should come close.

Lower clocks though (around 2GHz IIRC), so a 6300 should be similar.

EDIT: Should have read post; it's 1.6GHz.

In terms of raw hardware, the PS4's GPU is equivalent to about a HD7850. CPU is harder to say as the chip being used isn't on the PC market nor does it really have an equivalent. Most i can say is look to this article, it reviews a quad core chip of the same architecture being used in the CPU.

Dont include game benchmarks in your decision, they are running off the integrated GPU in the chip, which isnt going the case with the PS4 (it will have a significantly beefier iGPU).

Even the FX 8120 completely destroys the CPU in the PS4. Maybe if you took an FX 8120 or FX 8150 and downclocked might be comparable to the CPU in the PS4.

The CPU cannot be compared due to the fact that it is 8 core, and the only 8 core CPUs currently on the market are rated at over 3ghz. For gaming, at this point in time, you will never use more than 4 cores, and only a few games support this. Also, for the PS4, it is actually only an available 6 cores, as 2 of them are reserved (i think one is for streaming, not sure about the other). Also, although the HD7870 matches most of the specs, it has 2.56 TFLOPS Single Precision compute power, which is twice what the PS4 has. I currently have a laptop with a 6990M GPU in it, and i believe this may be a closer GPU to that of the PS4, at 1.47tflop, although "only" 960 cores

Simple, down-clock a 83x0 to ~2GHz.

Your GPU is last gen; different architecture. Not comparable.
