in short, i have my ps3 on dvi and my pc in vga and when i have to check a guide for a game i keep switching from dvi to vga and viceversa 5-10 time for minute using the button on the monitor, can keep doing this for a long time damage the buttons or my monitor?

Well given time any button will where out. How long it takes can't say but given enough time it will quit working.
