I need a gpu to max EVERYTHING out at 1080p but im not looking to spend the money for a freaking titan or 690. I was looking at a 770
but is there anything cheaper that i can max games out with? I don't want it to overheat when i slightly oc it, and i would hope it has excellent driver support! Another thing what is a good cpu that won't bottle neck it at all? wil an amd fx8350 work or an i5 3570k?? ty and please provide links if you can :3

You can't expect to max out all settings and pay a low amount of money. If you want to try and have good quality/performance and spend too much. Maybe a GTX 660ti would be a good alternative. Nvidia GPU cards are the best imo. http://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware Go to that link and compare which graphics card is good for you. Then once you've found one, look for a good price.

absolutely wrong the 7950 outperforms the 660ti which is at the same price range.

There is no right or wrong. It was a suggestion.

I would counter what other have said and go with the red team (AMD). Usually the price to performance is better on that side. When you talk about maxing everything, does that include all AA options and Super sampling. Most cards can't do those options because stuff like the titans can't even do that. If you are comfortable at around 60 fps and 4x msaa, I would go with either a 7870 (better than the gtx 660) or a 7950 (better than a 660 ti). A 7970 would most likely be out of your price range. Then you can usually overclock higher on amd cards and they are still boosting the performance out of the 7000 series significantly right now. I can run crysis 3 with 8x msaa and ultra settings at around 50 fps on my 7870 hawk (wasn't overclocked) and a 1080p monitor.
