Hi.

I've just got this CPU, and an Asrock FM2A75 Pro4 motherboard. Also, I've bought a Noctua NH-C12P cooler in order to replace the noisy stock one.

Once it was installed, I runned a stability test with AIDA64, and after 20 minutes being stressed, it got 64ºC.
On idle it's about 42ºC.

Don't you see a little bit hot these temperatures? I'm wondering if I put enough thermal paste on the CPU.

Thanks.

To me, 60C isn't hot. It's only really when you get past the 70-90C marks usually I think.

Thermal paste should already come on the CPU cooler. You're welcome to add some yourself though,

if you feel it's necessary.

Yeah, those are mega-hot. AMD proccies, iirc, shouldn't go past 60C if you want it to work indefinetly.

Something seems super wrong. Did you make sure to wipe away the thermal paste and apply new gunk when you changed the cooler?

Well, I've just noticed that the CPU temperature has gone down to 38ºC (real idle now?)

On the other hand, I have used the previous thermal paste, because it was well spread, and it's almost new. Could it be a problem? My room is about 25ºC.
