Setting default columns for Windows Explorer in Windows 8

In Win8 Pro (probably the same in Win7):
Open Explorer on the C root
Add the Length column
Click on View|Options
Click on the View tab
"Folder views" "You can apply the view......." - Click on 'Apply to Folders'
