Hi, so I tried searching online but couldn't really find a good comparison. At the moment I'm using an LG M227WDP and its ok but the picture quality isn't amazing and sometimes quick transitions lead to the picture showing 2 things at once for a second. It's also very blurry which makes it hard to read small text. As a result ai'm looking to upgrade, and I would like some advice.

The monitor will be used almost solely for gaming with some Internet browsing and tv/video watching. The only important things to me are picture quality and response rate. I would like something in the 20-23 inch screen range and would like to not have to take a morgage out to get it, although price isn't an important factor.

Thanks in advance.

Plenty to choose from. Just saw a LCD TV that was 47" with sound bar below it (as we did for my wife) and hook the computer to that normally, for only $650. You have a wide birth if your looking at LCD TV (since you can output via HDMI from your computer to one as well) if your interesting in "TV/Video watching". Normally when you look for a 'Gaming Monito' it doesn't include watching TV/Video on it, so there is normally only enough connections just for the computer and nothing else (DVR, BlueRay, CabelTV box, etc.).

When I said that, I meant on my computer. Sorry should have been more clear, meant netflix/youtube. Just trying to show that picture quality is the most important thing to me, along with response time.

Well the only way to be clearer and more realistic and that would be to focus on a 120HZ screen. That way your getting the highest quality possible output in the most realistic definition (check at your local electronic store and see the really high quality screen they are playing the Iron. LTOR or Hobbit screen on - even at CostCo as you first walk in,. that is a 120Hz).
