Hello. I'm in the middle of my first build and as a newb I am I had some questions. Help would be very much appreciated.

1) Do my HDDs need any cooling at all? I don't OC and I think my case will be always at a very safe temperature, but I decided to direct my front fan towards the CPU and GPU and leave my HHDs and SSD (below) totally un-fanned. Thoughts?

2) Drivers. So, are my drivers specific for each hardware component, or do I have the flexibility of choosing my own driver, perhaps from a list of "best drivers". I'm thinking wireless, usb 3.0, audio, video.

3) Do the metal bits on the input-output shield that are in the way and meant to be pushed back matter? Some of them fell off when I was intsalling. It was terribly designed. I think they are meant to supply extra grounding to that bit. My input-ouput shield has no risk of falling into the case---it's on tight.

4) Does the quality of cabels that carry digital content matter (granted you buy one made of decent material that will last)? I'm thinking my display port or SATA cords. They're all just $5 cords I got off amazon that were well reviewed. I think with digital signals its all the same.

5) Any general input on setting up a new comp? I plan to put my games (just 3 or so), win7, and some basic programs on my 120gb SSD. And then use my HHDs for my win7 library.

Thanks so much for your input.

1) Your HDD and SSD don't need cooling really. Cooling should be done in such order: CPU, GPU, PSU, MoBo (if that's possible), etc. cards, SSD and HDD, random stuff

2) It's pretty much depends on the manufacturer. It's almost ALWAYS specific tho, so you're out of luck there

3) Never seen that before, so can't comment

4) HDMI cables from Monster and HDMI cables from Sony are the exact same. It makes no difference whatsoever. The only thing you should look for is the material being used in the cable, w/ gold being the best, then platinum, then silver, then copper. Get nothing worse then copper if you care for quality

5) Can't really understand question tbh
