Recommendations for power efficient, small, LGA 1155, USB3 motherboards?

Having a couple PCI and PCI-E slots would be nice too. This is not for gaming, just regular use. Would use a rather lower powered (about a 2.5ghz) dual core CPU in it. If I could cram it into a small box that would be great. Mini-ATX, Micro-ATX? ITX? ITX wouldn't give me much in the way of card use I guess. And just 2 slots for ram would suffice. Having an IDE plug would be good to for those retro moments. And 4 Sata plugs should be enough.

Socket 1166 doesn't exist. Are you looking for socket a 1155 motherboard?

They have specs for everything but not how much power it uses compared to others. Reviews often mention this but they have to use identical associated equipment before measuring of course. It can differ by quite a bit actually.

The features are probably more than adequate. I'd like to get firewire but they seem to be phasing that out more and more so I'll just use a PCI card for that. I would like to get a better brand name though, anything but Asus. Gigabyte, MSI, Abit, even Intel I guess. There's a few more.
I just realized my priorities should really be on size so I need to source out a quality CPU heatsink that is not higher than a PCI card. This may be more of a challenge with a smaller motherboard. I need to hit a store to see them in front of me. I'd like to have a very compact little box (I'll make that with aluminum angle) that has no wasted space at all. It would have mesh sides for airflow. Its for travel. Then I can plug it in to a monitor anywhere and by right up to speed. I could use cloud programs and storage but that seems so iffy when your internet speed is slow. Or I could run off a memory stick as well. That would be the best compromise for most applications except when the computer you're plugged into is very tightly locked down security wise and won't allow external programs to run. So many options. Anyway, thanks for the tips so far. It would be cool if people could just plug in their little computer box into the big hotel room monitor and just carry on like they're at home. I'd bring my own keyboard and mouse because I'm used to that and they don't take up much room.
