There is no such thing as future proof however the 780 will be relevant for a good while normally from what I gather cards at least on nvidia's side I can speak for stay relevant in games for 2 generations normally if you get the higher end cards the 7 in a series or the 8.
Also, it looks like you are purchasing a mechanical keyboard as well. I ask this of everyone purchasing one so that they end up happy. Do you know what switches your keyboard comes with. IF you are new to mechanical keyboards it may be worthwhile for you to take a look at a switch's overview to make sure you are getting a keyboard that actually fits your feel.
Your current keyboard uses cherry mx blues. I have a mechanical keyboard I have a Logitech G710+ I really like browns. I don't like the clickyness of the blues and I didn't like the linear feel of the reds.

I was originally looking for Cherry MX Black switches but didn't know which ones were good, I saw good reviews on the Razer so I went with it, do you know good Black ones?
Absolutely, Newegg sells ducky keyboards. Duckys are very high quality keyboards so I would give them a look here is a cherry mx black keyboard that is a ducky keyboard. That is the way I would go if I was after blacks I'm looking at other keyboards that have cherry mx switches on newegg and nothing is really grabbing me price wise. You would need to go with ducky shine 2 series from what I gather if you are into LED backlighting. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA23C0NR9253

people like blues quite a few actually. I personally wouldn't get a glossy keyboard like the black widow that is me personally. I'd probably go with cooler master or ducky with blues.

Then yea I would go with the blackwidow then if anything else. Below that point you may have a hard time finding a quality keyboard so I would go with that. It will match with your mouse as well so wise as well.

Yea not a problem If you don't mind me asking what changed your mind to push you towards blues. I tried them out and the clickyness just wasn't for me.

Just because people say that they are the best for typing, I'm going too be wearing a Razer Kraken while on my computer so I won't need too worry about the noise. I'm also a heavy typer, so that's it.
Ah! Yea its good for typists. Well more so then the other switches. I like my browns they are like blues only no clicky which I appreciate. But yea blues felt a bit lighter when typing on them when I was at the store so I can see how they would be a bit more typist oriented. People really love their blues I see a lot of cherry mx blue love.

Ya, thanks again for your help. Do you think my build will last for this console generation even if I have to go to low settings, on 1080p without upgrading anything? The first thing I'll upgrade is my GPU --- adding another.
That is very hard to say I would say on merit that your build already surpases the power of either xbone or ps4. I think it will be A LONG time before you would have to play games on a low setting. By the time you get to that point you will be with another gpu somewhere down the line.
