CPU and Mother Board Question

Hey guys,

My knowledge of computer parts are limited but I am still able to put the parts together. Currently I still have the CPU and Motherboard that came with my store bought dell Inspiron 580. My current GPU is a Radeon HD 7870 and I bought a new PSU 650W. My computer doesn't handle games very well and I wanted to ask for recommendations on which CPU and Motherboard I should buy that are compatible with my GPU and are good for gaming. Anything under than $250 for each part would be appreciated.

Thanks, Bob

I would suggest checking out the Asus memory QVL list for selecting your RAMs, though your system will likely run with your current sticks. You may likely find some qualified DDR 1866MHz (or, 2133MHz) for around $75 or so.
