I am building a desktop for the first time so am fairly new to this, have picked out a build but just wondering could anyone tell me if all should work together? Motherboard & processor compatible? And would the PSU fit and be appropriate?

Case:
Cooler Master K280:

Ram:
Kingston Technology ValueRAM 4GB DDR3 (x2):

Graphics:
ASUS PCI-E A HD7870-DC2-2GD5-V2

HDD:
Seagate 2TB SATA-600 7200rpm 64MB

SSD:
Samsung 840 Series 120GB

Motherboard:
ASUS H87M-PLUS - Socket 1150 - Micro ATX

Processor
Intel Core i5-3350P - 3.1GHz - Socket 1155

OS:
Microsoft Windows 8 64-bit

PSU
Corsair CX Series CX600M - 600 Watt

I really haven't a clue if this is compatible so any help greatly appreciated,
Thanks!

Since you won't be overclocking, an H77 would be sufficient. Take a look at this motherboard.

What is your currency?
What will you be using the PC for?
What is your budget?
Will you be needing peripherals and if so are they included in the budget?
Is the budget strict?
Do you have a preference of intel vs Amd and Nvidia vs ATI?
Are you going to overclock?

:)

Hi EvenHalpo!

Your processor is an Ivy Bridge model with socket type 1155 while your motherboard uses the latest 1150 socket for Haswell cpu's (and for the future Broadwell).

So, no those two are not compatible.

Thanks for reply, do you have any suggestions for similar motherboards that would work?

Looks good, thanks! Can I just ask for learning sake, what is the difference between the two? This one is compatible with rest of components? :)

Which one are you referring to? The H77 motherboard I gave you the link for? If so, yes, the H77 mobo has the correct cpu socket, the 1155 - that will be compatible with the i5 3350P cpu.
