Out of space on my SSD

Hello, when I first built my current PC, I installed a 60GB SSD for the OS and a few programs that I frequently use. I am now down to under 1GB and would like to transfer everything on this SSD to a bigger on. What should I consider when doing this? Should I look into imaging software? I have never tried to do anything like this and would appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance for any responses.

If you buy intel or Samsung, they provide a clone/migration utility that will clone your 60gb ssd to a larger one.
Intel calls it data migration software, and Samsung calls it their data migration tool.

Just make certain you are cloning to the correct device(which will be larger) The clone erases any data on the target drive.
Also, do not use the utility that will come packaged with the ssd. It is better to download the most up to date version from the internet. Ignore samsung's inclusion of Norton ghost as a clone option; you can't get it to work.

Intel and Samsung also provide a utility that can dislay smart statistics and flash your new ssd to currency if needed. It might be best to flash before cloning. The utilities are called SSD toolbox and Samsung Magician respectively.

Thanks for the response. I'm kind of nervous about the cloning part since my OS is on this drive. Anything I should be worried about in that department? I plan on on backing up everything on the drive before I do anything.

Backup is always a good idea.
Just make certain that your target drive is the one you want to clone TO.
You will have several options to verify that.
Then, let the process run.
It will not change the source drive if there is some sort of a problem.
