I am currently helping out a friend with her first gaming computer build. We have run into a very strange issue.

Video is only being displayed through the motherboard video outputs, by the Intel integrated graphics (hd4000). None of the graphics card video outputs work (Nvidia gtx 770).

We tried to install the Nvidia drivers, but the installation failed because windows did not detect compatible hardware. We looked in the device manager, and the gtx 770 was not there, only the Intel graphics.

It's as if there is no Nvidia card there at all. We are at a complete loss at what to do. Any help would be very appreciated.

The power supply is sufficient, and we have tried switching on/off from integrated graphics in the bios. The card is in the correct slot and the power cables are plugged in... any other ideas?
