Need advice on gaming headset

I bought a Logitech G930 headset for my new gaming rig but it loses its connection to the adapter continuously. I'm planning on selling it and buying a wired headset. Can anyone recommend some good wired pc headsets?

  1. High-End Headsets:
    Astro A40
    Sennheiser PC 360
Razer Tiamat, excellent surround sound but bad sound quality

    Mediocre Headsets:
    Steelseries Siberia V2
    Tritton Pro+ or 720+

Do you want a 5.1, 7.1 or stereo headset? If you want a 5.1 or 7.1 headset do you prefer digital or analog?

Either a 5.1 or 7.1 headset would be good. With an analog headset is there a substantial difference sound quality wise if I were to buy a decent sound card with a good analog headset vs a digital usb headset?
  3. Don't buy a sound card, it's a waste of money. It doesn't matter if the headset is analog or usb, it more depends on the quality of the connecter, the quality of the speaker drivers and etc.

What would you recommend in the 100-150 price range? Preferably wired headsets.
