Hey guys.
Here is the problem.
MB: ASUS M4A79XTD EVO
CPU: AMD PHENOM II 1055T
A friend called me and asked about his problem, although he tried most of things before and got no results.
When he switched on the System, in the BIOS settings CPU fan speed is 6xxx rpm and CPU temp is about 44C. He tried turning on Cool'n'Quiet or q-fan on silent. The BIOS version is 2102 and is latest.
Before he had Windows 7 and Asus EPU 6Engine also worked and then that corrected the fan speed problem.
But since he upgraded to Windows 8 there is no chance of EPU 6Engine to be installed. He tried lots of things such as :
http://www.forumswindows8.com/drivers/asus-epu-drivers-5120.htm
AMD OverDrive also no chance, and because he have NVIDIA VGA, CCC is not tested.
The CPU fan is an AMD's Stock fan(4 pins) and the room temp is ideal. CPU paste is fine at it fixed correctly.
any opinions please
thanks
