Hi guys! Getting ready for my 2nd build and want to build a monster. You guys will be seeing a lot of me over the next couple of weeks till I get a finalized build.

I love to dual box games and plan on boxing as many accounts of FF: ARR as I can. So my question is, will an i7 4770k be beneficial for this. I understand the i5's are better for gaming for the price but will the i7 benefit me a ton?

If you intend to overclock your CPU, the 3770k will benefit you more. The 4770k/4670k are only a 1% gaming performance increase over the 3770k/3570k.

I wouldn't spend dollars on the 4th gen intel stuff...it was aimed squarely at laptops and gave the desktop community a big one finger salute.

Thank you for the reply. Yeah I origionaly was going to go that route but isn't the next set of CPUs going to be 1150 sockets? I don't upgrade my pc as often as a lot of people here but want to be prepared if there is a worthwhile upgrade in the future with this socket set.

Also with my main question. I know mmo's are not super stressing on a system but even with toned down settings other then my main character running 2,3,4 etc instances is. Doing a lot of research tells me the i7 would help out tremendously but I'm not for sure on that so I came here.

Not on a budget but still don't want to waste money if us not needed.

4th Gen gets a refresh next year, 5th Gen is going to be BGA only...so you're only getting 4th Gen on socket 1150, next socket after that is Skylake in 2016...you'll be buying a new MB then anyway...so you might as well get socket 1155.
