Should I Bother with Extended Warranty for my Build?

Silly question, I know, but this will be my first build. I believe Newegg's policy is that they allow a return within 30 days within the invoice date. I'm thinking that if there *are* any problems with my components, it will happen within the first 30 days, right? Are there any potential manufacturing issues with any component that won't become apparent so readily?

I'm just trying to be as prepared as possible for my first build >_<

Don't by the extended warranty. It's usually not worth it.

Parts can break after 30 days, but that ensures you won't have to worry about them being DOA.

If you want a longer warranty, you can buy parts with a lifetime warranty instead.

For example (certain): Corsair RAM, XFX GPUs, Ultra power supplies

Hope I helped.

You still have the manufacturer's warranty on each individual part. Be sure to make copies of UPC's before sending for rebates. Most of the manufacturer warranties are at least a year long if their warranty covers the damage and you haven't voided the warranty (ie. overclocking voids manufacture warranty, but you can buy overclocking warranty through newegg and they can replace the processor once if you mess up). You will just have to figure out which parts are faulty on your own and deal with the manufacturer's RMA rather than Newegg.
