My power supply has a atx connector and the mobo has eeatx will they work with my mobo also I did chexk the cpu and no bent pins any suggestion?

Make sure your power supply on the tested haswell know good power list. If it is make sure you used the mb standoffs to keep the mb from shorting out. On the right side of the mb will be a eight pin atx power port. Make sure that filled. Don't use the six plus two video power cable. Most new power supply's have one eight pin plug or two four pin plugs. On the mb is a green power good led make sure that on and not blinking. When you turn the power switch on check to see if the CPU fault led or the video card fault led on or ram led.

okay i went back though all the steps first i checked to see if the pins were bent. all look fine and proceed to put the cpu back in and was in correct and it was. I put on the stock heatsink fans and lock into place fine. i put the 2x8gb sticks to the a2/b2 slots locked in secure no problems. I hooked up the tx850m one to the 24 pin eatx connector and one 8 pin cpu connector securely all fine . I turn on the power the mobo has a led lite up on the power button and nothing else then i press the button nothing happens? Bad mobo or cpu? I have pics if need to see im new here so i dont know if u can post pics on here or not if need be I can email them to you. If anyone can help that be great!

Im doing an external build with the mobo on the mobo box with only the power supply memory cpu and stock cpu cooler plugged in one 8 pin atx connector to the 8 pin eatx on the mobo and a 24 pin atx xonnext to the eatx 24 pin connector on the mobo

Okay, wasn't sure if you were bread boxing it or not. That could be either Motherboard, CPU, or PSU. If you have another PSU, you can check that. All you want to do is to see if it POSTs.

Okay ill try one stick at a time I took out the cpu and xhecked a 4th time and they look all the same no bent ones when I get home tonight ill check both memoey and put in each of the slots say thay doesnt work what next? Sending it back to newegg since its within my 30days and get a replacement?

I think all you need to do with a single stick is to put it in slot A2, but check your manual to be sure. If nothing happens with that, Then, I guess you will need to RMA the Motherboard. You WILL need a RMA number that you will get from Newegg, or maybe ASUS.

If you have a volt meter set it to ohms and with the power off take the on switch off the mb and test it. With the switch off should be high readings. With the switch on should get a low reading. If your case uses a small board the the led and switches plug in make sure there plugged into the right port on the daughter card. As a last test short the power on pins with a screw driver to see if it the switch or swap the on with the reset switch.

I think he was using the switch on the Motherboard and not the one on the case. If it was a bad switch on the case, or just hooked up wrong, then shorting the pins would tell the tale for sure. This doesn't appear to to be the case.

So I sent newegg back my mobo and just got my new one today hooked everything up. (Even got an anti static wristband just to make sure) got everything in. Well power to the mobo but no fans again! Im going with bad cpu this time everything the ame what u guys thinks another doa board or cpu?

Unlikely you got a second DOA board with ASUS. If you are setting it up outside of the case, then the only fan that should be running is the CPU fan as the rest should be plugged in until you have it in the case. With the ASUS Motherboard, if you watch it during post, there is an LED at each place CPU. Memory, & etc. When you hoit the start button it wil go through that sequence of Leds and should post. If not it will stop at the offending place that is giving it a problem such as memory or CPU.

Well I checked no leds shows just like last time im guessing bad cpu which makes me mad because I would of sent that in oh well question the cpu on the edges of the top pieces or shaved a little from the mobo metal piece is this consider chipped? If it is then im just going to buy a new one and screw waiting 2 more weeks and have them send it back and say it chipped or something
