Just purchased two 770GTX video cards. I currently run an i7 920 (oc'd to 3.7ghz) and have a PC Power and cooling 750w PSU. Am I pushing it?

More about : 770gtx sli setup 750w psu

a 750w is just enough for that multi GPU setup. id go for atleast an 800w.

what's the voltage on your i7-920 @ 3.7GHz, I estimate a minimal 160-watts and probably more with that current overclock.
then it's roughly 230-watts per each GTX 770.
so far that's 620-watt with whatever your actual CPU voltage is so a little room for 'variable'..

I say your good especially if it's a quality 750-watt unit..

For a system using two GeForce GTX 770 graphics cards in 2-way SLI mode NVIDIA specifies a minimum of a 850 Watt or greater system power supply that has a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 62 Amps or greater and that has at least two 6-pin and two 8-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.

Total Power Supply Wattage is NOT the crucial factor in power supply selection!!! Total Combined Continuous Power/Current Available on the +12V Rail(s) rated at 45°C - 50°C ambient temperature, is the most important factor.

Overclocking of the CPU and/or GPU(s) may require an additional increase to the maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current ratings, recommended above, to meet the increase in power required for the overclock. The additional amount required will depend on the magnitude of the overclock being attempted.

NVIDIA bases their minimum system power requirement on a reference PC configured with an Intel Core i7-3930K 3.2GHz 130 Watt TDP non-overclocked processor.

nVidia as well as the manufacturers like EVGA, MSI and the others always inflate what they say on the retail box and web-site to cover themselves from any liability. I have seen and I have ran older GTX 4 Fermi cards in SLI (that required more juice than the 770) with a power hungry AMD 1100T overclocked on a 700-watt PSU. bottom line it's an exaggeration.
period.
