Gateway ML6731 CPU upgrade

It appears that Gateway has only the one processor available for that model. Although there are a multitude of Socket P PPGA748 CPU's (yes a replacement would need to be Socket P) available - the BIOS is locked which would prevent another CPU from being used properly (if it can work at all). A modded BIOS may be found which would allow a different CPU to be used but that would entail some research
