Well, I'm building myself a custom PC (mostly for gaming), I've been busy researching parts and I just became concerned my motherboard and GPU won't be compatible after I noticed it said on Newegg:

Onboard Video Chipset: Supported only by CPU with integrated graphic

My current CPU, GPU, and Motherboard are:

Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7850 1GB GDDR5 http://

Intel Core i3-3225 Dual-Core Processor 3.3 GHz 3 MB Cache http://

MSI LGA1155/Intel H61/DDR3/A&GbE/MicroATX Motherboard http://

I'm not a complete newbie when it come's to components (I know components I need), I'm just stuck on compatability.

More about : motherboard gpu compatible

Best solution

Hiiiii
Yups you can go with this. It is fully compatible with each other. But i3 will lag in future incoming games. Because of duel core, now in these days some games plays on quad core means 4 cores. So future games will also needs quad core CPU.According to me get a i5-3470 if your budget allows. It is a quad core processor. It is best for now days gaming and future gaming. You will never lag with i5 CPU.
I hope it helps.
Thank you.

Yeaaa, umm, I would go with the i5 if my budget allowed, but I am making a complete setup because I have too. I don't have a monitor, OS, or keyboard & mouse. But I think I could make it work. Would just the cheapest i5 quad core be sufficient?

Since you seem to know what you're talking about, could you look at my build specs? Link
