Newly built computer is not turning on no response

I just finished install the parts and when i hit the power button nothing happen? i disconnected everything took out the mobo made sure it was placed right connected everything back up tried once more and nothing!

GPU- GeForce GTX 650 Ti
RAM-G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3
Power supply- Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 550w Power Supply
Case- Rosewill REDBONE U3
Optical Drive0Samsung 24x SATA DVD¡AR
MOBO-ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel
Hard drive- WD Blue 1 TB Desktop Hard Drive: 3.5 Inch, 7200 RPM
SSD-Samsung 840 Series 120GB 2.5in SATA3

The switch on the PSU in the on position? Did you hook up the case power button correctly?

Your PSU is of sufficiently low quality that a DOA seems realistic.

Fortunately, you probably won't pull 300W out of it, but I'd recommend replacing it. A 380W Antec Earthwatts or 360W Seasonic "G" series would be sufficient; get higher wattage only if you are specifically planning on a graphics card upgrade.

Some Motherboards have power good led see if that led is on. Make sure you used the motherboard standoffs and the four or eight pin pci power plug near the CPU is plugged in.
