I am currently running a dvi>hdmi cable from my Nvidia 9600gt to my Toshiba 42" tv. when I first acquired the tv I plugged it in and it automatically worked (as it should) then one day it stopped. this is a dual monitor setup with the tv as secondary monitor. the main monitor still displays. tv displays no signal. The tv makes the connecting sound when I plug it in an it is also viewable when I go to screen resolution (wind 7 ult) as screen 2 on my multi-display. have set to 1920X1080 res. I know the hdmi cable works because when I unplug it from the tv it gives me the audio prompt and when I plug it back in it audio prompts again
I have tried using the tv as the only monitor. swapping between expanded and mirrored displays, updating to the newest drivers for my gfx card, both dvi ports, both hdmi ports, tried lower screen resolutions, and removing video drivers completely and reinstalling them. tried changing options on the tv (such as display type, picture quality) but no cigar.
the only things I can think at this point are: I need to format comp(don't really know why that would be helpful) or that my tv the issue. thankyou in advance for your help.
