Help! Unknown source of BSOD

Hey guys,
Im in a bit of a situation here, for whatever reason my PC (Custom built, a little under one year ago) is BSOD on me whenever I try to boot windows. I was using it just fine last night and haven't added or removed anything recently to cause this. I've cleared the bios which did not fix it and I've tried to use windows start up repair but that hasn't done much. My motherboard has a debugger built onto it and it stops booting when it gets to IDE Detect, do you guys have any inclination as to what is might be causing this problem.

Any IDE devices? if so check power and signal cables for good connections. Try booting to Win in safe mode, might have a corrupt or infected driver.

you could also try to check that ide drive in another system ,it could have made is time .

Sorry for being a total idiot but what exactly would an IDE drive be? i have a WD blue harddrive and a LG disc drive but apart from that I can't really think of any IDE devices

then you have a sata drive try to use another sata cable from the motherboard to this drive and unplug the lg for test .

Generally it a drive, HD or optical that connect to the mobo via a wide tape like interface, if not using any (i.e. all your drives are SATA, then a corrupt or infected driver is even more likely, try booting in safe mode, and run MalwareBytes, also go to Control Panel, Device Manager and check for drives or IDE devices and disable or update the driver

Also checK your bios settings. If someone changed the Sata port from achi mode to IDE you will blue screen.the same if you installed windows in IDE mode then switched to achi mode.

Ah thats super helpful thanks! Although I dont have any drives with that plug. Also I have tried booting into safemode but I get the same BSOD. I have a spare hard drive so I'll just use that thanks for all your help guys

Can take your OS disk, boot into it and try doing a system repair
