What is your favorite overclocking cooler?

Solution

I agree that it is the best bargain on the market currently, but it is not as good as the Noctua (everyone knows the Noctua is in a class of own)

xD I apologize, critical reading skills obviously aren't one of my strong suits.
After i read "Unfortunately, if we accidentally knock our PC over, the NH-D14 might very well break our motherboard." I assumed that it was refering to some kind of faulty seal on a watercooler.

Anyway, the article continues after that : "Never mind trying to figure out the best way to ship it, installed, across the country. Even if we could guarantee that the folks at UPS and FedEx would handle our machine gently, the idea of having all of that weight rocking back and forth sounds like horrible torture for the delicate contacts of Intel’s LGA interface. From a portability perspective, big air is a bad idea."

Have you heard about problems or experienced problems with the NH D-14?

I have not heard of any such problems but I settled on water cooling for my system because I was worried. I have since decided water cooling is far too noisy after having an H80i in my system for a while now, and because I have not heard of problems with the Noctua, if I were to redo my rig I'd probably use air cooling...
