Hello Everyone, I need some help from the community. I want to build my first gaming PC. I wanted to put a new GTX 770 in the build and I was looking for a good PSU that will give me enough power for the 770 and i5-4670k. I know 750w is sufficient for a 770 as the required is 600w but does it have enough amps on the 12v rail? If 750w is more than I need would I be fine on this 650w psu? PSU SHOWN IN LINK BELOW:

If you're not overclocking and plan to SLI in the future, 650W is enough. In terms of brand, I suggest a XFX 650W PSU. XFX is a reliable brand, just a rebadge Seasonic.

your problem is the psu itself not the wattage.

Get yourself a corsair/antec/seasonic psu. and any bronze+ 600W psu is fine for your needs.

I'm not going SLI but I want good overclocking headroom. Can you recommend a good PSU that I have tons of overclocking room if I want?

If you want a good overclocking headroom get a 750W psu. Trust me, Before, lot's of people recommended me to get 850W for my 770 SLI setup because that PSU is more than enough even when overclocking but oh boy! Everytime I overclock my cpu and gpu, I always get BSOD and realize that it's not enough vcore problem but because my PSU cannot handle the overclock when it goes full load so now, I'm stuck running my CPU to 4ghz instead of 4.5ghz and my 770's in stock clocks til I get at least 900 or a 1000W. So my rule of thumb is, if you need a 650W to run your system for example, add an extra 100W if you plan to do overclocking.

Get this quality PSU, It's on sale right now:
