So recently, I started getting random frame drops while playing games, such as Garry's Mod, Arma 3, and DayZ. Before, I would run these games at a smooth frame rate. Battlefield 3 seems to run fine when i play. Stays around 70-80 FPS on Ultra settings.
Garry's Mod: 200+ FPS
Arma 3: 50-60 FPS
DayZ : 40-50 FPS

Now the frame rate is starting to drop, and remain at that same frame rate. If someone could please help, it would be awesome.

PC Specs: AMD 6100 CPU
GTX 660TI
8GB RAM
1TB Hard Drive

Note: Whenever a PC or laptop starts getting low performance when it was previously performing much better it means there is a temperature problem. Download RealTemp and prime95 to check CPU temps, and download MSI afterburner and Furmark to check GPU temps.

I agree. Frame drops are usual due to dust accumulating inside the PC.

Check the temperatures and if that is the issue you need to clean the dust inside of your PC. I advise being cautious when doing this as you can mess with your components if you are not careful.

Thanks for the reply. I'll check out the temperatures, and post them on here.

Another option is PSU is low end and is starting to giving up.

Well it can't be the PSU as I already changed it due to the fact that my old PSU died on me. So I went with the Corsair CX 600.

A bad PSU or underpowered PSU will not cause low FPS or poor performance, that's just a tech forums myth. It will cause your components to all out fail. Your computer wouldn't start.

So I tried using RealTemp, and said that it didn't support my CPU. So I tried CoreTemp, and the temperture is at 67°F. MSI Afterburner says that the temperature is at 100°F.

Quick Update: Settings were quite messed up in the programs, so I'm testing them again. Sorry lol.

Ok. So I checked out the games with the programs running on another monitor, and I ended up with these temperatures:
GPU/CPU:
140°F/90°F - Arma 2 OA DayZ
116°F/67°F - Garry's Mod
122°F/95°F - Arma 3
158°F/116°F - Battlefield 3

As I said in the first post, Battlefield 3 had perfect FPS, and no frame drops. DayZ and Arma 3 had bad frame drops just by looking around, and walking sideways. Garry's Mod just remains at a low framerate.

Just to make sure, those temps are in Fahrenheit not Celcius? I just didn't know those programs used Fahrenheit. If they are Fahrenheit then your motherboard isn't reading the temps correctly as it impossible for the CPU temperature to be as low as 67°F = 19.4°C which is below room temperature.

I used Google to change them. I'll post them as Celcius.

So Core Temp gives the wrong readings for AMD processors. All I can really give you is the GPU in Celcius, and the CPU Temp while it's idle.

Has anyone also though of thermal paste being the problem?

I did, but I tried reapplying, and it still gave the same results.

So I checked out the temperature of my CPU in the BIOS. When idle it's temperature is 109 F.
