so i have been receiving emails with the word "SPOOFED:" before the normal headlines. They are consistent with the original pattern of emails, and the time of their delivery also. After reading about this online I am only able to conjure the imaginative conclusion someone is intercepting my emails, and then forwarding them to my email box. Is this a correct assumption, or is there something else going on?
For example, one I had received said "SPOOFED: Thank you for signing up with Xxxx" instead of the normal "Thank you for signing up with Xxxx" that i normally get. As mentioned earlier, this has been from ALL of the different senders i usually get email from.

If it says spoofed that means that the email was sent to you by someone faking to be the real sender , for example "computerguy99" has an account on toms hardware and he gets daily emails from "info@tomshardware.com" , now say if some hacker wants to find his passwords they might send him an email but pretending to be "info@tomshardware.com" with an email spoofing program.

i understand that.
but these are (as i said) coming in the previous usual timing, and from the usual multiple contacts.
for this to be happening i am assuming the emails have to be intercepted, and spoofed forward to me.
am i correct in my assumption or no?
